SARDINIA is situated in the middle of the Mediteranean and is the second largest island of Italy after Sicily.

It is surrounded by beautiful smaller islands like Caprera, La Maddalena, Asinara, San Pietro and Sant’Antioco. All of them are perfect destinations for daily excursions.

The landscape is beautiful and changing with many hills and small mountains in the north and flatlands in the south.

The climate is dry and there are no forests, but the charming mediteranean flora included hundreds of species of plants, billowing bushes and of course palm trees, olive- and citrus trees on every back yard.

Today you can see many of the historical marks from earlier time epochs when the island was a well known target for all the mariners of the world. Amphi theatres from the roman times, forts from Pisa and Genua from the time they were mighty sea republics and over 3000 defense towers spread over the coast from the period when Spain was governing here.

But the most fascinating sign from the ancient days is the “Nurages”, that you only find on Sardinia. They are cone shaped towers, built in stone on top of each other and they have been preserved for over 2500 years and rise like jewels out of the beautiful Sardinian lanscape, sometime as big as forts.

The biggest attractions on Sardinia are the sea and the beaches. The sea is shimmering blue and all the beaches are different, some of them can only be reached from the water and all of them have to be explored. There are also many beautiful caves that can be visited.

There are many beach resorts around the main city Cagliari on the southern side, but also in the northern part where you can stay on the “Emerald coast” that is full of luxurious hotels and restaurants.

In Sardinia, you can try many sports like: scuba diving, wind surfing. swimming, golf, sailing, tennis, cycling, etc.

Sardinia – for a calm and relaxing vacation in beautiful surroundings with sun and bath!
