BASILICATA is situated in southern Italy between Puglia and Calabria.
The landscape is very mountainous, except for one plain that stretches against
the Ionian sea. The climate here is irregular and the tourism is not very
developed, but in the mountains you can visit beautiful and picturesque
mountain lakes like Monte Pollino and Lago di Monticchio.
