When it comes to tourism the region is mostly famous for its beach resorts along the Adriatic coast like Lido di Nazioni, Lido Spina, Lido Adriano, Milano Marittima, Cervia, Cesenatico, Rimini and Riccione. Besides the beautiful and long sandy beaches that are lined with hotels, apartments, bars, restaurants, discotheques, sport facilities and shops, these locations are perfect starting points for interesting and exciting excursions to nearby cities like Venice, Comacchio, the Republic of San Marino and why not Verona, Florence or Lake Garda. The region is famous for its gastronomical specialities, great wines, interesting folk festivals that fit most of the visitors.
