MARCHE-
Most parts of this region are mountainious or long, sandy beaches, sometimes
relatively wide and mixed with cliffs like at Cape Ancona. The climate is
mild along the coast and during the winter it is often cold and rainy in
the inland. Except the main city Ancona with its many medieval churches
and its cathedral with sea view, there are also other beautiful beach resorts
like Gabicce, Senigallia, Pesaro, Numano and Sirolo. All of them are worth
a visit. Other great attractions is the sanitarium of Loretus and Urbino.
