PIEMONTE - situated in the north western part of the country, at
the foot of the Italian Alps. Piemonte has many mountains and hills, a mild
climate and it is rich with lakes. The most important city of the region
is Torino. Other important locations are the alpine villages Sestriere and
Limone and beautiful lakes like Lago Maggiore and Lago d’Orta. Piemonte
has several old castles and religious monuments that are worth visiting.
You also have the possibility to try out sports like biking, trekking, water
sports and summer skiing. The region is appreciated for its great food,
the beverages and the culture!
