Romania the Christian Church says that Jesus was born during the winter
solstice and his death followed by his resurrection happened during the
spring equinox, the Easter - the greatest of the Romanian spring holidays!

The Orthodox Easter in Romania – during the Easter night, the people go to church and light candles that they take home to bless their families. The tradition of giving eggs, Easter cake and sponge cake is very old. The eggs are a symbol of the universe beeing a generator of life. The romanian people paint their Easter eggs red and then they decorate them with different patterns, transforming this tradition into a artistic and and refined skill. People say that the shells of the Easter eggs brings you beauty and health. Among the traditional Eastern dishes we can mention “pasca”, “cozonacul”, “drob” and some lamb meals. Easter in Romania – a unforgettable experience! 7 DAYS EASTER TOUR IN ROMANIA DAY 1 Accomodation and dinner in Bucharest after the arrival to Romania. DAY 2 After breakfast we take the bus to Poiana Brasov. Accomodation and dinner in Poiana Brasov. DAY 3-4 Accommodation with breakfast/half or full board in the beautiful Poiana Brasov.
