COAST
TOUR: Half day tour. First we go to the seaport Constanta and visit
the aquarim and the archeological museum. After that we travel along the
coast of the Black Sea to the Techirghiol lake and Eforie Nord where we
visit a old romanian-orthodox church completley built out of tree. During
the tour we take part of the romanian history and we also learn about how
Romania is today. A must! MURFATLAR: Half day tour to the district where the famous Murfatlar wines are produced. Here we also visit a wine museum and of course we try som local wines. MUD BATH: We go to Eforie Nord and try the world famous ”mud treatment” at the salty Techirghiol lake. Half day tour. MANGALIA: The horse interested childrens half day tour. After some horse back riding at the stud farm we have a little picknick and then we go back home. ROMANIAN NIGHT: Here you experience a genuin farmers wedding with romanian specialities and great wine. If you want to you can join the rest of the people and dance in the final dance of the night – Perinita – that means “the kiss dance”. BUCHAREST: One day tour. We fly to ”The Paris of the Balcans” – the 500 year old city of the parks. Here you can experience the cosmopolitan atmosphere, see how old culture meets new in a modern eastern european city. We make a tour of ca 3 hours before we eat lunch and get some time of our own. Dinner with folk lore show. A giving and interesting big-city tour. THE DANUBE DELTA: One day bus/boat trip to the nesting location of the pelicans. To the untouched flora and fauna. This excursion is a must for the nature friend. THE CARPATHIANS: Two day tour with flights to the Romanian ”Alps”. On this trip you have the possibility to get a little closer to Romania and its nature. You also get to visit BRAN- The castle of Count Dracula. You haven’t been to Romania if you haven’t been on this tour. MOLDAVIA: The famous monasterys of Moldavia are protected by FN. You will experience and study them during a interesting and giving two day tour. CONSTANTA: The closest neighbour of Mamaia is Constanta that was founded by the greeks 400 B.C. The city then was known as Tomis. Today Constanta is the largest seaport of Romania and has ca 500.000 inhabitants. Between Mamaia and Constanta there are regular bus connections and the trip takes ca 20 min. In Constanta there are shopping malls, handicraft shops, many cafées and restaurants. The one who is interested in history will have a rich experience visiting Constanta. Apart from a etnographic and a shipping museum there are also out door museums with objects from the roman times. Here there are also two archeological museums, where the greek, the roman and the bysanian periods are well represented.
