TIGNES
Variated skiing spread over a large snow safe area. 1550 - 3450 m.

TIGNES – is located at a height of 2100 m above sea level, and has three main villages, Le Lavachet, Le Lac and Val Claret. Together with Val d’Isere it constitutes the enormous ski area l’Espace Killy that has 300 km pisted slopes, 125 slopes (19 green, 59 blue, 36 red and 11 black). In Tignes the skiing is taking place at a height between 1550 – 3450 m above sea level. Tignes also has Europes biggest snow parks, a specially prepared area where freestyle skiers can try high jumps, halfpipes etc. It is the home arena for many national and international freestyle and snowboard competitions. A “must-do” during your stay in Tignes, is to visit the glacier La Grande Motte. From the top (3656 m above sea level) you can experience a stunning view of the Alpes, and the skiing is perfect the entire year at the glacier. Tignes is also great for families with children. There are special buildings dedicated to children between the ages 3-10, and different games and activities are arranged outdoors in a special area called Jardin des Neiges. For the adventurous there is possible to go ice climbing, go with a dog sleigh, paragliding and to take trips with a helicopter. After a long day in the slopes it’s time to come inside and visit one of the many Afterski places in Tignes. If you feel like relaxing there are three different fitness centers with swimming pools, jacuzzis, saunas, aerobics and much more. In the center of Tignes you can find Tignespace- a conference and seminare center that is 2000 square meters, and it also has a sports hall for basketball, football, tennis and volleyball. 60 different restaurants are avalible where you can try out national and international meals. Why not a typical french course like Raclet, Fondue or some local specialties? The night can be finished at one of the 50 bars, pubs or night clubs where you can enjoy a warm and international atmosphere.
