Click to enlarge!		   VAL THORENS – one of the premiere skiareas in the world, belongs together with St. Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires, Maribel and Courchevel to the lift system Three Valleys- one of the largest ski areas in the world with over 600 km pisted slopes, 200 lifts and over 100 snow machines. With a location at a height of 2300 m above sea level in the Savoie region, Val Thorens is one of the highest located ski areas in Europe. From october to may the skiers can enjoy the top quality snow. The skiing takes place at a height between 1800-3200 m, with slopes for all kinds of skiers. Thanks to the amazing possibilities to get from one ski area to another, you can reach Les Menuires in 15 minutes, Maribel in 45 min, and Courchevel in 75 minutes from Val Thorens. On a sunny day it’s just to follow the sun! Start in the morning, in the slopes in north eastern direction, all the way to Maribel and then to Courchevel. In the afternoon, on the way back, you just take the southern going slopes. Val Thorens it self offers over 140km pisted slopes, 52 slopes (6 black, 25 red, 15 blue, 6 green) and 33 lifts. Among the modern lifts you can find the well known Caron track, which fits 150 persons. It stops at the peak with the same name, Caron (3200 m above sea level)- a place with amazing view over the Viso mountain and the top of Mont Blanc. Except skiing Val Thorens offers a incredible indoor sport centre with several tennis- and squash courts, swimming pools, gymnastic halls, saunas, jacuzzis and much more! In Val Thorens there are plenty of afterski-places, pubs, pizzerias, different kinds of restaurants and som dicotheques. For other entertainment options you can also watch a movie, or go to listen to a jazz concert.

LOCATION: South eastern France- 650 km from Paris, 193 km from Lyon, 159 km from Geneve. SKI SLOPES: Val Thorens: 140 km pist (52 slopes - 6 green, 15 blue, 25 red, 6 black). Three Valleys: 600 km pist. SNOW MACHINES : 100. LIFTS: Val Thorens 33 lifts (10 regular lifts, 18 sitting lifts, 4 gondols, 1 ropeway). Three Valleys: 200. SKI BUS: Yes. CROSS COUNTRY SKIING: Ca 5 km prepared tracks. SKI SCHOOL: Education for all kinds of skiers in different languages SKI RENTAL: On location: slalom and cross country skies, boots , staffs, snowboards. OTHER SPORT POSSIBILITIES: swimming, ball sports, squash, tennis, pool tables, fitness etc. ENTERTAINMENT: Restaurants, movie theatre, pubs, shops, discotheques.
