     Bagni di Lucca, a small charming city in Media Valle, not far away from Lucca, is an oasis of peace and spiritual calm surrounded by rivers, forests and green valleys.

The locality is famous for its hot water springs and mud that is used for treatments of different diseases and skin care.

It is also called "the territory of poets and princes", because once Bagni di Lucca was one of the most important and elegant spa resorts with thermal baths, visited by people like Giacomo Puccini, Lord Byron, Shelley, Heine, Toscanini, Paolina Borghese Bonaparte etc.

Here there are plenty of natural and artistic beauties like Ponte delle Catene (The bridge of Chains), located at the stream Lima and built by Lorenzo Nottolini in the 1800th century. The roman church (1100th century) and La Chiesa Anglicana (1800th century), are also worth a visit.
