Castiglione della Pescaia is situated 23 km from Grosseto, 20 km from Punta Ala (departure point for boats going to the Elba Island), 100 km from Pisa, 160 km from Florence and 210 km from Rome. Castiglione della Pescaia is also an excellent starting point for interesting daily excursions. Apart from the cities mentioned above it is also worth to visit : Vetulonia (historical culture centre, 24 km from Castiglione), Buriano (a very old mountian village), several archeological locations like: Roselle, Sovana, Grosseto (with the archeological museum of Maremma) and Volterra (with a Etruscan museum).
