Calabria

				CALABRIA is a large peninsula, the foot of southern Italy and it has a varying nature. The coast is 800km long and faces against two seas, the Ionian and the Thyrrenian. Calabra actually has the longest coast line of all italian regions. The Appeninians stretch against the entire county with different mountain groups and then continues on Sicily. 90% of the region is mountainous and a lot of hills and there are some skiresorts like Camigliatello and Lorica. The landscape is very beautiful with a rich vegetation, many rushing rivers and mountains covered with magnificent forests. The climate is mild and there are rich cultivations of citrus fruits for example bergamott, that is also used for bergamott perfume manufacturing. The coast lines are very beautiful with sandy beaches mixed with cliffs. The sea is wonderfully turquoise and perfect for watersports like scuba diving but also for sailing and fishing. The most important cities of Calabria are: Catanzaro, Cozena, Crotone and Reggio Calabria. The visitors of Calabria have the possibility to explore many great palaces, old churches, museums and they are great starting points for historical and cultural excursions in the entire region.
