     LOANO - a mixture between old and new, a nice beach resort in Liguria/The Palm Riviera, located at Monte Carmo (1389 m) and its green valleys, 223 km from Milan,
176 km from Torino, 122 km from Nice, 92 km from Monaco, 80 km from Genoa, 63 km from Sanremo and
7 km from Pietra Ligure (entrance to and from the highway).

The location offers a changing environment with a long, sandy beach and a beautiful beach walk- Via Garibaldi, lined with shops, cafées and restaurants. The historical centre has many interesting tourist attractions like: *The old castle that once was the mighty family Doria’s residence *The pentagon shaped tower *The San Giovanni Battista church, etc. We can also mention that Loano has some of the best sport facilities of Liguria; a 25 m indoor swimming pool and 50 m outdoor one, a big ball hall, several tennis courts at the tennis centre of Loano and also a nice football stadium. For the ones that wish to play golf, Garlena has an 18-hole golfcourse and it is only situated 18 km from Loano. Thanks to this and the mild climate, many sport clubs come here for sportcamps.
