LATINA City founded in 1932 and that has very good connections with Rome, Napoli and other nearby localities. Latina has a modern architecture and is always developing its industry and tourism, specially the agri-tourism. Distance to: Rome 68km, Napoli 195km. SPERLONGA A seavillage located at a mountain cape, protected by medieval towers, a beautiful beach that is about 10km long. This village, with its characteristic narrow streets, is clinging onto the mountains in a special architecture that opens against free alleys or small squares with a seaview. Along the tourist attractions of Sprelonga we can mention the archeological museum, Grotta, Villa di Tiberi and the marble sculptures that represent episodes from the journey of Odysseus. Distance to: Rome 160km, Napoli 122km Sperlonga – a oasis with a beautiful mixture of myth, history and nature. GAETA Gaeata is the city that still keeps the aspect of beeing a borbon locality. This is where Francesco II and his Maria Sofia spent some of their last months after the fall of the Kingdom of Napoli. Small medieval streets – walking tracks that spantaneous open up against the city, nomadic towers, moresche churches, antique walls, megalitiche. Also: two mighty castlesm a recluse cabin from the 1200th century, the Serapo beach – the favourite beach of the romans, the Spaccata mountains – one of the most sacred locations of christianity. In Gaeta you also find the culture historical centre and the most famous fishing square in Lazio. Distance to: Rome 169km, Napoli 101km. THE ISLAND OF PONZA Ponza – one of the busiest waters in the entire Mediteranian sea, keeps the atmosphere of a wild and un contaminated area. Once the excursion destination for monks and recluses, a strategic base for corsarian soldiers, the land of fishermen and langusts, today the paradise for scuba divers. Cliffs, caves, detached beaches and the crystal clear water makes Ponza to one of the most beautiful islands of Italy and maybe in the entire world. Volsci, the fenicians or the romans once had their most secure hiding places here. The distance from Ponza to Anzio is about 2 hours with boat, to Rome it is 57km and to Napoli it takes you 3 hours with boat.
