POIANA BRASOV - The most modern and exclusive alpine village in the Romanian Carpates. Poiana Brasov is situated at a height of 1020 m, 13 km from Brasov, a very well known and appreciated tourist resort with ancestry from the medevial times. Poiana Brasov is surrounded by four mountains; Postavarul (1,799 m), Piatra Craiului (2,238 m), Bucegi (2,505 m) and Piatra Mare (1,848 m).

In Poiana Brasov there are pisted slopes as well as off pist ones, for all category skiers. The highest skiing height is almost 2000m, and the skiers have access to 2 cabin lifts and several regular lifts. For the cross country skiers, Poiana Brasov has a lot of beautiful tracks to offer!.

If you are intrested in sports there is a football- and athletics arena, a swimming pool, a sports hall, a bowling alley and much more.

If you like the night life it is good to know that almost every hotel has its own restaurant, some of them with live music and discotheques.

With its strategic position, Poiana Brasov is the perfect starting point for several daily excursions like Brasov, the castle of Dracula, the ski villages Predeal, Busteni, Sinaia (where you find the famous Peles Castle- a former royal summer residence that nowadays is a very popular museum with amazing collections). Even Bucharest is a possible destination.

HOTELS IN POIANA BRASOV

HOTEL POIANA **
Four floor building, situated ca 150m from the cabin lift and ca 200m from the city centre. The hotel has 100 beds in 57 rooms, all equipped with shower/wc, central heating, telephone, some with balcony and tv. There is also a bar and a parkinglot, a restaurant and a discotheque at Hotel Sport (directly connected with each other). A priceworthy alternative suitable for familys and youth groups.

HOTEL BRADUL ***
Four floor building situated next to the cabin lift and the ski slopes and ca 300m from the city centre. The hotel has 130 beds in 64 rooms, all with shower/wc, central heating, telephone, some with tv and balcony. There is a bar, a restaurant and a discotheque at Hotel Sport (directly connected with each other). A priceworthy hotel considering the location next to the cabin lift and the ski slope Bradul (with night lights).

HOTEL SPORTUL ***
Four floor building situated ca 50m from the cabin lift and the ski slopes, ca 250m from the city centre. Hotel Sport has ca 190 bed in 89 rooms, all with shower/wc, central heating, telephone, tv and minibar. The hotel has a restaurant, a bar, a sound proof discotheque, sauna and a fitness room. Parking lot. One of the best hotels in Poiana Brasov.

HOTEL CIUCAS **
Seven floor building situated ca 700m from the cabin lift and the slopes (ski bus). The hotel has ca 480 beds in 140 rooms, all with shower/wc, central heating, telephone, tv and most rooms have balcony. There is also elevator, a restaurant with live music, bar, discotheque, a parking lot etc. A hotel with great service and comfort during your ski vacation!

HOTEL ALPIN ***
Eight floor building situated ca 650m from the cabin lift and the ski slopes (ski bus), ca 200m from the city centre. The hotel has ca 270 beds in 133 rooms, all with shower/wc, central heating, telephone, tv, mini bar and most of the rooms have balcony. The hotel has elevator, restaurant, bar, swimming pool, sauna, fitness room and a parking lot.
