SINAIA
A enormous nature experience with skiing in a genuine alpine environment and exciting attractions!

SINAIA - The royal ski resort, situated at the foot of the Bucgei- mountains (the southern carpates), at a height of 1000 m, only 120km from Bucharest, 50km from Brasov, and 60km from Poiana Brasov.
In Sinaia the skiers are offered an amazing nature experience, the highest ski location is at a height of 2000 m. The winter is snow safe, with a mild temperature (january, -3.5 C), this is thanks to the mountains that protect the village. Here there are also possibilities to cross country skiing, iceskating, a 1500 m long bobsleigh track and other winter sports.
From the centre of Sinaia you can take the cabin lift to a height of 1400 m, and from there you can continue with another cabin lift, or a chair lift to the mountain peak, and from there just enjoy the stunning view over the Transylvanian Carpates.
On your way down you can either walk down the mountain, or follow one of the walking tracks to nearby cottages, like the ones in Piatra Arsa, and from there take the cabin lift to Busteni. Why don’t stop to have a look at one of the famous formations, the Sfinx, Babele (the old ladys) or the 48 m high cross.
In Sinaia you can also practice different ball sports, bowling or swimming, This makes Sinaia a great place to go on sport camps.
In Sinaia you find different bars, restaurants, pubs, patisseries, night clubs, discotheques etc.
Apart from sports and entertainment, Sinaia offer you different interesting sights like the castle Peles- one of the best preserved royal castles in Europe. This is where King Mihai, the last king of Romania, had his winter residence. Today the castle is a popular museum. Another sight is the monastery of Sinaia, with buildings that date back until 1625. The monastery is still inhabited by monks, that are happy to show guests around and answer questions.

HOTEL CARAIMAN **
A genuine building from 1881 with a central location in the park of Sinaia, ca 500m from the cabinlift and ca 200m from the city centre. The hotel has ca 140 beds in 71 rooms, all with shower/wc, central heating, telephone, some with minibar/fridge, tv, balcony. There is also a bar, a restaurant, a conference room for ca 100 people and a parking lot. A traditional building in one of the most beautiful areas of Sinaia.

HOTEL SINAIA **/ ***
Eight floor building with a central location in Sinaia, ca 150m from the cabin lift. The hotel has ca 470 beds in 244 rooms, all with shower/wc, central heating, telephone, tv, balcony. The hotel has both standard rooms (**) and recently renovated rooms (***). There is also elevator, bar, restaurant, discotheque, several conference rooms (for 140, 80, 60, 50, 30 and 15-20 people), patissery, swimming pool, fitness room, sauna, beauty saloon and a parking lot. One of the best hotels in Siana that is suitable for everyone.

HOTEL COTA 1400 **
Three floor building situated at a height of 1400m next to the cabin lift and the slope, 11km from the city Sinaia. The hotel has 112 beds in 57 rooms, all with shower/wc, central heating, some with tv, most of the rooms have balcony. There is also a restaurant, a bar, discotheque, possibility to have a conference room for 100 persons. The best alternative for the ones that wish to stay in the slope in a calm alpine environment.

HOTEL PALACE ***
A very beautiful four floor building in a genuine style located next to the park of Sinaia, ca 550m from the cabinlift and ca 200m from the city centre. The hotel has ca 270 beds in 149 rooms, all with shower/wc, central heating, telephone, tv and some rooms have fridge/minibar. There is also a restaurant, a bar, conference room, a beauty saloon and a parking lot. A romantic hotel with a calm location not far away from the Peles castle.

HOTEL MONTANA ****
Recently renovated hotel, centrally located in Sinaia next to the cabin lift. The hotel has ca 340 beds in 175 rooms, all with shower/wc, central heating, telephone, cable tv. There is also a restaurant, bar, discotheque, 25m swimming pool, beauty saloon and a parking lot. One of the best hotels if you want to stay close to the lift, entertainment and the city centre.
